Walk Description:
Our walk starts from North Greenwich Station and follows a 5.5 mile route through Dockland to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Line features an evolving programme of over 20 art installations through an interesting landscape where everyone can explore art, nature and heritage.
We will cross the Thames from North Greenwich to Royal Victoria on the cable car. After exploring the intatallations at Royal Victoria Dock we will take a short ride on the DLR to Star Lane. We then continue our walk along the waterways to the Olympic Park
The walk will finish in Stratford with trains back to central London via the Elizabeth Line or London Overground.
Our longer Explorer WALX are open to all, exploring beautiful areas in and around London. Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.
If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.
Monthly Payment clients £10; Pre-paid Credit clients £16 - price adjusted at payment.
Time: Meet outside North Greenwich Station (Jubilee Line) ready to start at 10.30 am.
Return will be from Stratford - trains run regularly to central London via the Elizabeth Line, Central Line, DLR or London Overground
