Walk Locations

Some people find it difficult to find our walk locations. They pop the postcode into their SatNav, set off, then discover they’ve “arrived at their destination” but they’re not where they want to be 😬

There are approximately 1.7 million postcodes in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man! But, they were invented to help with the delivery of letters, meaning it’s extremely unlikely a postcode will direct you to the car park we’re meeting in. Each postcode covers an average of about 15 properties. However, this is not a definitive number, and some postcodes can cover up to 100!

So, how do you find us? You can use your SatNav, but make sure you read the additional instructions in the Location Notes. Alternatively, use What3Words

What3Words is a really simple way to talk about location. Every 3m square in the world has been assigned a unique 3 word address that will never change. For example filled.count.soap marks the exact entrance to what3words’ London headquarters.

People use what3words to find their tents at festivals, navigate to B&Bs, and to direct emergency services to the right place. The great thing is, you don’t need to be connected to the internet to use it, it all works off GPS, AND you can put the words into google maps and it’ll give you directions!
