A few of us braved the beginning of the heatwave by exploring a Footpath in Felsted that members of Ramblers have fought hard to keep open.It follows the river up to a mill, where a bridge goes right through the Mill house garden where we were offered Pimms if we were to return this way!
As we approached the entrance to the Flitch way in Felsted we were warned by a couple on Electric bikes that there were dogs that might bite.Fortunately we were not going that way.
We then saw a grass snake at the edge of the road. The couple on Electric bikes put it in a safe place!
Hot and sweaty we made it back in one piece. There is a reason I lead Adventure walks!
