Walk Description:

This walk can be an easy but varied and beautiful walk along the canal then into fields circling back around either flat walk via the river or canal or can explore the lower slopes of Solsbury Hill to add challenge depending on how the group is feeling or options to split into two groups.  Depending on conditions underfoot as after heavy rain can be on the squelchy side we may have to adapt accordingly.   Mainly a pacy Gear1 or 2 but options for Gear 3 for those who like more of a challenge.  Also options to increase the challenge or keeping it nice and steady so suitable for all levels of fitness.Starting from Alice Park car park we have a very small amount of road to negotiate before following a delightful rural circular route taking in a variety of pathways through fields, along the river towards Bathampton Mill, we circle back through fields or by the canal depending on the suitability of the conditions underfoot.

Parking is free of charge in Alice Park car park and also free on street parking nearby.  Lovely coffee option at the Alice Park Cafe.

Park in Alice Park Car Park or nearby there is on street parking - parking is free of charge. There are pay toilets 20p needed and a lovely tiny rustic cafe with plenty of outside seating for when we finish Post code BA1 7BL or W3W - placed.hulk.bottom
