Walk Description:

NO WALK LEADER THIS WEEK - IT IS A SELF LED WALK! 

This walk takes us round the back of NOrwich Airport, out by the NDR and then on a magical mystery tour either through Spixworth Woods and meadows or out towards Horsham St Faiths. Flat so perfect to `chase your pace` and burn some calories...

This walk is the perfect way to work on your fitness from an interesting setting - the end of Norwich Airport`s runway!!!! Come and enjoy walking in the locality of Norwich, take in the views, fresh air and company of the group, whilst being active outdoors.

It is essential to register and book in advance online.

 Important Information

Distance: approx 3 miles

Terrain: stony paths, some uneven ground, heathland, hills

Stiles: None

Toilets: None

Car parking: Free

Cafe / Coffee van: Yes

Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream, bug spray AND ASTHMA INHALER

We will set off promptly.

Please try to arrive 10mins early so you are ready to go. 

Sorry but…  We are NOT ABLE TO LOAN POLES at the moment, so you will need your own Nordic Walking poles or walk without. Look out for ‘SHOP & DROP’ dates if you would like to purchase your own poles.

Cancelling a walk:

If you are unable to attend a walk, PLEASE cancel by 6pm the day before as there will undoubtedly be people eager to take your place.  24 hours notice will help everyone.

Location Notes:

Petans. Imperial Way, Horsham St Faith, Norwich NR10 3GJ. Look for Petans sign as you drive on the NDR and right by a roundabout near the Norwich - Cromer Rd, with the airport AND PLANES next to the fence, there is a lay by with ample parking (often a burger van) and the drive down to Petans. Parking available but no toilets. Park in the lay by area.
