Walk Description:

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

We love to walk on the weekends and try to arrange at least a couple a month.

Poles are optional on an Open WALX - if you would like to try some poles please contact me in advance.

Today's Walk: Inkpen Village to Walbury Hill

A favourite walk. Today we walk up from Inkpen village to Wabury Hill and then back via the church and lanes.

Pace & Intensity: Fairly moderate paced walk suitable for most abilities.

Gradient: there are some hills which can be taken slowly.

Miles: This walk is around 5 miles.

Notes: Park in the Crown and Garter car park but use the spaces next to the container which are actually part of the bridleway.

We can have a coffee and breakfast pastry or something more sunstantial after the walk.

Toilets are available in the pub.

Location Notes:

Please park responsibly in the pub overflow car park or on the lanes adjacent to the pub. The parking as you enter the pub on the right along the wall is public, then choose the parking by the container along the fence. PLEASE CAR SHARE ON THIS LOCATION AS PARKING IS VERY LIMITED.
