Walk Description:

A six mile walk through Forest tracks of Wareham Forest and we will cover a good part of it.

Get away from the Christmas preparations to de-stress and boost your immune system with a walk in the forest with fellow walking friends.

Some gentle hills but generally a fairly flat walk with good wide tracks and not as muddy as some walks.

There are no stiles on this walk. Please wear footwear and clothing for the weather of the day. It could be boggy so be prepared.

Bring water and please arrive in plenty of time to park and start the walk.

This walk is suitable for anyone who can walk 6 miles easily with time for stops if necessary.

Location Notes:

Take the Bere Regis road from Wareham. Travel for about 1 mile, as you leave the outskirts of Wareham look for the sign to the Sika Trail Car Park on the right-hand side. Alternatively if you are you are coming from Bakers arms roundabout head towards Wareham on the A351. At the Holton Heath roundabout, Sandford roundabout and the Morden Road roundabout continue straight on. AT the next roundabout take the 2nd exit right and then at the bottom of the hill roundabout (which is at the back of the railway crossing) also second exit right onto the Bere Road. Continue for approximately 1 mile through the residential area and beyond the 50 mph limit. You will see a sign on the left to the Sika Trail Car Park which is just 100m past the sign on the right hand side of the road.
