Walk Description:

If you have completed a tuition course in the past but have let things slide a bit, or have not walked recently, this session could be just what you are looking for. Come along and refresh your Nordic walking technique in order to get the most out of your Nordic walking poles, learn more about the WALX/Nordic Walking UK 4 gear programme, and the Freedom Passport, and be inspired to join in with regular walks.

Note:- In the unlikely event that the Instructor feels you require formalised tuition he/she will notify you within the first 30 minutes and advise you to attend a Power of Poles Course.

Dress to suit the weather, including sunscreen, if necessary, and bring water.

If you need to borrow poles, please let me know in advance.

We are adhering to Covid-19 protocols. Please use your own poles and bring your own water.

Please do not book on for for a walk if you have symptoms or have been in contact with some one who has symptoms. Thank you for your understanding.

Photos may be taken during the walk for use on the WALX in the Marches website, on social media, and occasionally, shared more widely with WALX/Nordic Walking UK. If you are not happy for your image to be used in any of these ways, please let me know.

Location Notes:

National Trust venue. Usual admission rates apply, unless you solely want to come in to Nordic Walk, when you can request an Active Pass for £5. Free to members. Parking, toilets and cafes. Please allow plenty of time to arrive, park and meet. Meeting point will be in the main courtyard, between the shop and bookshop.
