WALX Derwent and Dales

Walk Description:

New location - Instead of Duffield let's give this one a try, it has a cafe too! 

Please note there is a small parking charge - bring cash. 

A 90-minute moderately paced Nordic WALX around and above the Derwent Valley starting from Belper River Gardens. Some road walking is required.  

Discover old parkland, green roads and ancient tracks, quarries and farmland combined with the River Derwent. 

Please use your own poles. Please do not book on for a WALX if you think you may have symptoms, or do have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms. 

It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack.

You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or send an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any changes to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing. This should include any surgery, falls, knocks or accidents.

Pay and Display - bring cash £1.40 for 2 hours. Enter the car park almost opposite the Fire Station. Go to the LONG TERM Car Park around the back of the Mill.
