Walk Description:

A gently paced 2½ mile walk with extensive views over the countryside.

Our Wellbeing walks are gentler Nordic walking sessions suitable for those gradually building up their fitness levels, or with injuries or medical conditions that require a more gradual approach to improved health and fitness.

We ensure there are no stiles on our Wellbeing routes.

Upham is a lovely village with a church, duck-pond and a great, friendly pub too.  

 

COVID-19 Guidelines

This is a socially-distanced walk

We'll make sure we are:

Keeping a distance of 2-meters apart

Bringing our own drinks and anti-bactrial gel.

Please follow hygiene steps such as using anti-bac gel after the walk and washing hands when you get home.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the session.

 

 

Late Cancellation policy:  If you need to cancel your booking please try to do so at least 15 hours (6.30pm) before the walk.  This gives those on waitlist some notice that they have been moved to a confirmed place. Refunds for 'repeat' last minute cancellations will be issued on a discretionary basis only. Thank you for your understanding. 

Location Notes:

Meet at the Upham Recreation ground. Type 1 Fir Tree Cottages, Upham, SO32 1JL into sat nav. It is very near the Brushmakers Pub on Shoe Lane (SO32 1JL ). Here are some directions: From the B2177 Colden Common - Bishop's Waltham road. Follow signs to the village from Lower Upham. Pass the village school and then turn left at a junction. After a short distance you will reach a grassy triangle with the entrance to the recreation ground at the far side.  Alternative route:From Winchester, follow the Corhampton to Winchester road, turn right at sign to ‘Blackdown’ and follow signs for Upham. At the grassy triangle turn left and the entrance to the recreation ground is immediately on your left. EXTRA PARKING: There are other parking spaces outside the pub or along Church Street by the duck pound.
