Walk Description:

Leaving Verwood on an unmade road we will explore the area on the outskirts of Verwood.

Part of the walk is on Dewlands Common, along bridle ways, up to a high point with views.

We pass beside Crane Valley Golf course on the loop back and near some private fishing lakes. 

The walk is approx 4 miles long, it is an easy walk with one incline. 

Be prepared for grass and two wet muddy area. 1 stile.

Lots of woodland paths and gravel tracks.

Nearest toilets are at Morrison's near the roundabout where you turn off onto Springfield Road to

access the right part of Margard's lane. (This roundabout has Harlee's fish and chip shop on it)

Roadside parking opposite Haywards Farm Close just past the school. Margards Lane becomes unmade at

the point we leave the cars.

Location Notes:

Go past the school campus (Verwood first School and Emmanuel Middle School. Also a sign for The Hive. Park on unmade road just past Haywards Farm Close. Nearest toilets at Ferrett Green or Morrisons.
