Walk Description:

What could get us in the spirit of Christmas more than a Blickling walk followed by lunch at The Bucks? Plenty of ho! ho! ho! 

We are choosing from the A La Carte menu so you can opt for a light bite or a full main - delicious local fayre in a gorgeous old coaching inn BY the warm fire. 

Join the 10am walk for a fast '3 mile warm up walk' - and then we will join the 11am group for an ALL TOGETHER NOW 3 miler at a moderate pace to suit all.  You ONLY need to book on one walk, either the 10am (which will include the 11am as well) or the 11am.

This way you can choose a 6 miler or a 3 miler...

We will pre order lunch in the pub PRIOR to the walk. 

Festive hats, tinsel and LOTS of HO! HO! HO! are definitely a feature of this walk

Important Information

Distance: approx 2.5 - 3 miles

Terrain: meadows, broadside paths, some uneven ground, hills, woodland, undulating

Stiles: None

Toilets: Yes

Car parking: Free to NT members / £5 per day to non NT

Cafe / Coffee van: Yes - Muddy Boots Cafe

Clothing:  Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream, bug spray AND ASTHMA INHALER

We will set off promptly. 

Please try to arrive 10mins early so you are ready to go.

Location Notes:

We will meet in the National Trust OVERFLOW Car Park of Blickling Hall. This can get busy at weekends and holiday times so turn left once in the main gate towards the coach area and then DRIVE to the far end towards the old school. There you will see the entrance to the overflow car park. Free to National Trust members but £5 for the day for non-members. Toilets and Muddy Boots Cafe on car park site. Summer open from 9am and in the winter from 10am.
