Walk Description:
From the market square, the route leaves Knaresborough via Stockdale Walk and Crag Lane then follows a narrow footpath eventually emerging through woods to follow the path down to Abbey Road. Heading back towards Knaresborough, the route follows Waterside, underneath the stunning viaduct. The route then ascends via cobbled streets past Knaresborough station, and back to the market place. Points of interest along the route include chainsaw sculptured wood carvings, and a small chapel built into the rock. The walk is about 3.3 miles, and takes about 90 minutes at a fairly brisk pace.
Location Notes:
Parking is usually available at the Chapel Street car park. Free after 6.00pm
