Long Description - Danson
Leaving from car park, we will head down towards the lake across the bridge to South Park and making our way back up the hill towards the house. We usually walk on the grass so it can be muddy at times (if its too bad we will stick to the paths) There are lovely views of the house and landscaped parkland, the lake has a variety of ducks and other birds as well as canoeing and sailing. Please wear suitable footwear, bring water, and be prepared for the British weather!
Long Description - Hall Place
Walking across the green towards the red brick building and continuing the outskirts towards the bridge. Once on the back green we head to the hills, which is an optional extra for those who want to work a bit harder. We return to the bridge once a circuit of the green is complete and make our way back. There are lovely views of the river cray along with the resident wildlife in and around the water. Please wear suitable footwear, bring water, and be prepared for the British weather!
Please note these changes at Hall Place: Wednesday 7.30-8.30pm walk in the winter the walk is on the paths, walking up Gravel Hill and down in to Crayford, please wear visible clothing, we have hi viz jackets to borrow if you do not have any. This may move to online if the weather is bad, the instructor will contact you if this is the case.
Thursday 11.30am may move to Danson Park in the Winter months due to the lack of paths and excessive mud. Please check the location of the walk.
Long Description - Foots Cray
Parking and meeting at Beck Evans Farm, warming up on the green. We will then make our way towards Foots Cray, walk alongside the river and make a stop at the horses. We cross the small bridge and loop round to stop on the bridge - The Five Arches. We then follow the river back, cross at the metal bridge and make our way back to cool down on the green. Many of us stop for a cuppa on a Sunday so please bring some money if you would like to join us. It is very muddy here in the winter and sometimes we reroute to stay on the paths.
Location Notes:
Meet directly on the right hand side as you enter the car park near the tree, DA5 1PG. Free car parking and toilets available.
