Walk Description:

This is a lovely walk starting from North Car Park in Swanage. We follow the SWCP and immediately we are on a steep incline up steps giving breathtaking views of Swanage bay and far beyond.

This is an unforgiving walk but always worth the trudge up to Ballard Down. Once youve made it to the top at your own pace with rests where ever required you will be blown away by the iconic views that only Dorset and Purbeck can give you.

Bring a snack and a drink, something to sit on and we will rest along the route to take in the 360 views and then you know that its downhill all the way back!

No toilets along the route - steep steps and grassy inclines. Poles will help with both outward and return journey.
