Did you know…
…Aylsham is full of historic interest - it’s a bustling market town with charming features.
…Humphry Repton (1752-1818), the famous landscape gardener, chose Aylsham as his final resting place.
…it was once the main artery to Aylsham’s agricultural industry. On this walk, you’ll pass Aylsham Staithe; opened in 1779 where wherries transported freight.
…There were TWO railway stations. We will see (disused) Aylsham North, a Great Eastern Railway station, opened in 1883 only a short distance from the staithe. It quickly out-competed wherries for transporting freight.
We will be exploring all these places on Saturday’s GORGEOUS 5ish mile route here.

We try to aim to upload walks TWO weeks prior to the event on the website.
On average we clock up approx 5 miles at steady Gear 2 pace.
PLEASE COME EQUIPPED WITH PAWS!!!! A MUST!
Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream, bug spray AND ASTHMA INHALER AND CHECK YOUR EMAILS ON THE MORNING OF THE WALK FOR ANY UPDATES

Cancelling a walk:
If you are unable to attend a walk, PLEASE cancel by 6pm the day before as there will undoubtedly be people eager to take your place. 24 hours notice will help everyone.
