Walk Description:
Enjoyed walking over lockdown, want to progress this more?
Come and learn how to turn walking into a total body exercise with poles. Get more from walking in your own time or join our regular fitness walking classes. In line with Government guidance and our own updated risk assessment protocols, we can now offer the beginners' Power of Poles workshop for up to 6 participants at a time. The session also includes a FREE walk of your choice to be taken after your course preferably as soon as possible to practice what you have learned. You will be given a voucher code to be used within 6 weeks.
Poles are provided for the course - poles are cleaned thoroughly between uses.
Once you've completed the Power of Poles, you will be entitled to WALX membership and will be entitled to the members' prices on the Nordic Walking UK store - ask for details.
We recommended that you DONT wear stiff hiking boots as these restrict your walking with poles - walking shoes or trainers are preferred. Wear outdoor clothing and esnure you have suitable waterproofs if the forecast is for rain. We will only cancel if the weather makes lessons too difficult.
Please ensure you bring a small backpack/bumbag with water and a snack if required. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch - just click on Contact above for mobile phone and email details.
The session takes place at Avebury village. - meet at NT car park charges apply.
If you feel unwell between booking your class and joining us, we ask that you err on the side of caution and cancel your booking. You will be recredited to book another date or a refund can be issued.
Location Notes:
The NT car park has charges but is free to members. If you are not a member I have one spare car park pass which I allocate on a first come first service or you can park in the Red Lion pub which is £3 and then walk back to meet us at the main car park. There are toilets in the village near Avebury Manor.
