Location Notes:

From Ashbourne take the A52 Leek road. In 4 miles from the western end of the Ashbourne by-pass turn left still on the A52 and leaving the A523 Leek road. In just over 2 miles turn left onto the B5417 Oakamoor road. Follow this road for 2 miles keeping straight on at a crossroad to follow the Cheadle road and still on the B5417. In Oakamoor cross the river bridge over the Churnet and almost immediately turn left along a minor road signed Ramblers Retreat. In just over a quarter of a mile, and having ignored the station car park sign, turn left again along Red Road signed Ramblers Retreat. In about one mile turn right into the large car park by the Ramblers Retreat.
