Walk Description:

This 1.5—to 2-hour session will be just a craft-making session. We will create some Christmas Tree decorations, either for the NWW tree or for you to take home. We will meet at The Tea Shack, which has kindly agreed to provide a covered space for us to sit, chat, and craft. Please do purchase drinks and snacks from the Tea Shack on this occasion - thank you.

Our Forest School sessions are an opportunity to connect with nature, and each other and truly be present in the woodland environment. We hope to inspire a love of nature through positive experiences and participation in a range of motivating and achievable activities.

There will be an opportunity for reflection at the end of each forest school session.

And of course, tea and cake!

The nature of NWW Forest School means that we will be carrying everything we need and will be travelling light!

The Forest School leader will bring a small amount of equipment to enable a particular session.

This may include:

Craft materials and rope, string, or twine Fire kit and fire blanket Dustbin bag Tools and associated safety equipment First aid kit, burns kit, welfare kit including hand sanitiser and wipes Mobile phone and whistle Shelter Cake!

Each Forest School participant will be asked to bring the following:

Sturdy walking shoes or boots A small rucksack Warm clothing and waterproofs in waterproof trousers Sunscreen A sit mat

be active : be brave : be kind : be connected : be curious : be YOU
