Walk Description:
Come along and enjoy this gorgeous walk from Penshurst to Chiddingstone (and back again)!
If you are feeling festive we could stop for a coffee and mince pie at the lovely Tulip Tree cafe (they also do a very good bacon sarnie)!
This route heads out towards Chiddingstone from Penshurst. The terrain is mostly tracks and small roads, with some sections of footpath. It's suitable for all as the terrain is good for those who want a fairly easy walk, but there is a chance to up the pace for those who want more of a workout.
The nearest toilets are on the Penshurst Estate (at the Porcupine Cafe) and at the Tulip Tree cafe in Chiddingstone.
The walk is approximately 4.5 miles but I have allowed time for a short coffee and mince pie stop!
MODERATE Walks - walks might involve hills and we walk at a pace of around 3-3.5miles per hour.
Location Notes:
Park in layby on left side of road (with Penshurst Place opposite on right). If parking is full there may be space nearby on the High Street, alternatively park in the main car park of Penshurst Place. Facilities at Penshurst Place.
