Note 10.20am meet up for a prompt 10.30am start. Led by Walk Leader, Miriam Kletz  This month's Friday walk is a shorter walk of around 4 miles /2 hours.... well it is Christmas

THIS WEEK - Lymm Circular starting from Spud Wood car park, with optional post walk lunch at the Barn Owl Inn. Join Miriam on this shorter circular 4+ mile walk starting from Spud Wood car park. Route may be adapted on the day to allow for weather conditions. Cars will be left at Spud Wood post walk & lunch group will walk down to the Barn Owl.  No toilets available pre walk but are available post walk if you stay for lunch at the Barn Owl. NOTE There are only 6 places (plus 1 for Miriam) reserved for lunch at the Barn Owl so please confirm with Miriam if you want to stay for lunch . As it is Christmas, last minute walk ins are unlikely to be accommodated. 

Meeting point: Spud Wood Car Park, Stage Lane, WA13 9JP - Leave the M56 at either junction 7 or 8 depending on which direction you are coming from. At the Bowden roundabout take the A56 Lymm Road. Turn right onto Warrington Road. Turn right onto the B5169 cross over the canal bridge then turn left into Stage Lane. The entrance to the recently enlarged & resurfaced car park is on the left hand side.

PLEASE NOTE, you need to have your own poles to attend this walk as no poles will be available for hire on the day unless by prior arrangement. 

The walk will start and finish promptly so give yourself plenty of time. 

We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Paws will be required (on and off on different terrains). 

Please remember to bring 1 - bottle of water and an energy boosting snack 2 - any medications you may need 3 - a small rucksack as you`ll need both hands free at all times 4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications. Depending on the time of year you may need sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat ( if hot) and gloves, warm clothing and a flask (if cold!). 

Please note - you can cancel online up to the evening before the walk. Unfortunately, refunds are not allowed after this time. Please contact Miriam directly via phone/text on 07940 494791 if you need to cancel nearer to the start time so we’re not waiting for you. Likewise, please phone/text as well as using the online system if you want to book on at the last minute - we don`t want to go without you!
