Walk Description:
Starting out from the village hall car park at Harewood, the route initially goes through woodland (can be muddy here) before opening up with superb views of Harewood House and rolling countryside beyond. The route follows well-marked country paths and in addition to the breath-taking views, includes weirs, ponds, water features, the lovely (despite its name!) estate village of Stank, and an abundance of wildlife, including Red Kites usually hovering above, Red, Roe and Fallow deer. A walk to remember. (Includes some longish uphill stretches - great for practicing double poling!)
Location Notes:
Park in the Harewood village hall car park on Church Lane. There is an honesty box and contributions to the upkeep of the free car park are welcome.
