Walk Description:

Come join us on this beautiful walk which has gentle slopes giving you stunning views all across the Blackmoore Vale. The chance to see old and new planes flying over head to keep things exciting. 

This is a gentle walk around the top of Fontmell Down showing both sides of the hill but without the steep climbs. 

At the end of the walk we will go over the road to Compton Abbas Airfield for coffee and hopefully some cake.

We will meet in the small car park, there are no facilities at the car park until we go to the Airfield.

It is very open in this area so an extra layer may be needed.

Location Notes:

Head towards Compton Abbas Airfield along the top road towards Shaftesbury. Go past the turning to the airfield on your right and just past the turning on your left is a small car park. There are several further along Spread Eagle Hill which we may have to make use of depending on numbers and people already parked there.
