Location Notes:

This easy walk will take you through wooded hills and a heather covered ridge, with expansive views over the Shropshire Countryside and Welsh Hills. Good paths, can be muddy in a few places and rocks can be slippery. Nesscliffe Country Park is steeped in history and was notorious for Highwaymen in the 15th and 16th century.Remains of an old Hill Fort constructed about 2500 years ago. Three species of bat are known to inhabit the cave. Meeting place Park (Free) SJ389198 Distance 4.5 miles Take turning opposite The Three Pigeons Inn SY4 1DB, left from Oswestry, right from Shrewsbury off B5429 follow road passed the school and Car Park lay-by is on the right hand side.
