Walk Description:

Christmas Walx 8 - Hungerford Afternoon Walk - and After at Victorian Christmas Event

Afternoon walk from Hungerford Town towards the canal and then along towards the water meadows. Back via the canal & church to the town and then time to enjoy the Christmas lights and the Victorian Christmas Markets event.

We will meet at the Hungerford Town Hall at around 3pm. This gives us an hour before the sun sets to walk along the canal and towards the water meadows. As it gets dark we will have time for a wander around the town and shops as they turn on the Christmas lights and the Victorian Christmas market starts. 

The Walk: around 3-4 miles in total including walking back to the cars after the market.

Notes: Parking:

There are various options for parking. Free parking at Herongate Lesiure Centre (for those coming from Marlborough), the Downgate pub area or common for those coming from Pewsey way. You can stay for as long as you want afterwards but do be aware that some roads will be closed for the parade so park where you can easily get away from town.
