Walk Description:
Gentle Wellness WALX that incorporates balance work, flexibility and strength exercises, all with a Tai Chi focus.
We will enjoy the Tai Chi flow in the wonderful surroundings of How Tun Woods, a special local urban woodland that provides a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The views are stunning over towards the Isle of Man, Black Coombe, and into the central Lake District Hills. There is a pleasant circular walk of 800m mostly surfaced which provides a choice of routes for us to explore and benches and the millennium monument for us to utilise for our exercises whilst admiring the views whilst the seagulls call overhead. We will take in the beauty of nature and all that this has to offer as we explore how our bodies move.
These sessions are great for those who are getting back into exercise, have a health condition or simply want to move well and be fit for life!
Our wellbeing Instructors are qualified to deliver WALX for all levels so it’s never too late to take that first step.
Location Notes:
Meet in the Car park down Cliffe Lane. There is a bus every 15 minutes from the Town centre catch the Furness general Bus and get off at the Bay Horse Pub and walk up to the Cross Roads to Quarry Brow, turn left at the pub and walk down to the car park.
