Walk Description:

This is a Gear 2 walk of approximately 4 miles with a couple of different options according to the ground conditions. One or two short steep ramps and some longer hills maybe included along with some gentle inclines. The walk varies between grass and hard tracks and lovely old turf. It is a great fitness improver for those who want to include some hill work into their exercise routine.

Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.

Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.

Remember to wear appropriate clothes for the weather on the day.

Location Notes:

Coming from Andover, take the Tidworth Road off A342. Follow the road through Great Shoddensden. Go past the tank crossing where we used to park, continue up the hill for another 0.2miles and then turn left on to Benin Road, immediately after Poppies Day Nursery. Follow Benin Road for 0.2 miles, leaving houses on your left. After 50/100yrds take the first left turn (just after a small brick building/shed hidden in the trees on your left), turn left, parking is 0.1miles on your left. If you get to a turning circle you have gone just too far. I think these are the correct What3Words: pumps.raking.caressing
