Walk Description:

Join Paul for this moderately-challenging, mid-paced, 7.4-mile walk starting at Lee Valley Country Car Park, Windmill Lane, Cheshunt.

This walk takes in some of the very best that the Lee Valley has to offer!

It starts by following the Lee Navigation, passing a number of lakes and locks, before crossing the river at the spectacular Kings Weir.  The walk then climbs Clayton Hill before descending back through the countryside to Fishers Green and Seventy Acre Lake, where numerous species of wildlife can be spotted.

Walkers are requested to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time to allow for parking, shoe change, pole adjustment etc, so that the walk can start promptly at the time indicated.

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us if you have any change to your physical or mental wellbeing. This should include any surgery, injuries or accidents.

Location Notes:

This car park has a height restriction of 2.0m (there is an overflow car park nearby that does not have a height restriction). Parking charges apply, so please car share where possible. Walkers are advised to download the PaybyPhone app in advance and use location 806347 to pay for their parking (as the machines do not always work). Toilets are available in this car park and along the route.
