Walk Description:

This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction  course. We explore the forest trails, meres and hills  in Delamere Forest and  cover  (3. - 3.5 miles) in the hour.

This is for members with a Nordic Walking UK FREEDOM code

Please bring  a small rucsac with your drink and any medication you may need

We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive walking boots or shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Paws will be required (on and off on different terrains). Hats, sunscreen and insect repellent will also be required when the weather dictates it!

Location Notes:

Meet at Barnsbridge Carpark, off Ashton Road, Delamere Forest. Ashton Road runs from Mouldsworth to Hatchmere. The nearest sat nav reference is Fox Howl Education Centre WA6 6PA. Fox Howl Education Centre is at the Mouldsworth end of Ashton Road and the carpark is midway along Ashton Road. It has a blue notice board with Sandstone trail in white lettering. It is free but there are no loos here. The nearest loos are at Linmere Car park, by the Visitors Centre and you would need to allow an extra 10minutes to drive there and back. Alternatively we can incorporate a loo stop on our walking route so let me know if this is required.
