Walk Description:

We are excited to welcome newcomers to the use of poles to exercise the whole body while walking.

In this 90mins session, you'll learn the basics of using poles for walking, gain your Nordic Walking UK Freedom Passport. You'll gain the skills to get the most from your own walking as well as being able to join national Nordic Walking UK and WALX classes.

This course is designed to provide sufficient knowledge for you to be proficient at using poles.

Power to the Poles 2 is an optional progressive course for those wanting to explore a more in-depth knowledge of walking with poles and highly recommended.

Locally, you'll be able to book into any of our Walx Preston straight away and enjoy effective, total body walking in beautiful surroundings. We'll provide the poles initally so you just need to arrive dressed for walking and exercising outdoors - this means comfortable footwear with reasonable grip, comfortable trousers and possibly a rain jacket!
