Walk Description:

A Beautiful walk along rolling hillsides and through woods with the surprise of a wonderful waterfall and lake at Little Bredy. The stunning far reaching views make the walk even more special.

No toilets at the start of the walk.

There is a possible muddy section on the way back. There are steep hills to be navigated but the views make up for it.

This is a slighlty longer route taking a slightly different route back, we will change direction after the possible muddy patch missing the walk up the steep field. The great part is we get to see a different part of the valley and the other side of Hardy's Monument.

Bring some food and drink with you as we will have a short stop in Little Bredy.

Location Notes:

Head towards Dorchester, follow the A35 around Dorchester until you reach the top roundabout above Poundbury. Take the first turning and go past the MacDonalds and follow the road round towards Martins town on the B3159. Turn right at the Junction and go through the village until you come to a tight turn right with a turning to your left. Take the left turn up Coombe Road. Follow Coombe road until you reach the Hardy Monument and the National Trust Car Park. It is a tight turn and very narrow entrance so please be care as you turn in. There are no fees for this car park.
