Walk Description:
Join us on a Jurassic Coastal walk from the village of Kingston. We park in the wooded car park and walk back into the village and through the grounds of the 13th century church before we take the path towards the coast and the cove of Chapmans Pool.
Here we can walk down to the idyllic small cove or take the path up Hill Bottom and join the Purbeck Way back to the car park. A sociable 4-5 mile walk that takes in the stunning views and hills of the area and parts of the coastal path.
This walk has some inclines and can be muddy in places. No facilites at the meeting point. Please bring water and wear clothing appropriate for the weather of the day be it muddy and/or wet & windy.
Bring some refreshments as we will have short break at the Cove.
Location Notes:
Drive up the hill from Kingston passing the Scott Arms on the right and then St James' church on the left. Shortly after entering the woods there a little car park on the left (free) Please do not rely on postcode in Sat Nav as it may take you up Farm tracks or an unmade road out of Corfe Castle!
