Walk Description:
A beautiful walk inn a variety of woods and heathland typical of the New Forest.
Partly on wide trails or smaller paths muddy after rain.
Leaving the High Corner Inn we cross over Broomy Plain and enter Holly Hatch inclosure.
Past Holly Hatch Cottage a walk beside the stream then goes up hill towards Fritham Plain.
Into Stoden inclosure before a wide trail towards Hasley Inclosure where the path goes downhill to Splash bridge.
The views in this area extend to Abbot's well and the Ogden's area.
From here into Broomy Inclosure and the return walk in woodland back to the pub.
The walk is approx 7 miles and will take about 3 hours to allow plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.
Bring snacks/water/sunscreen/hat as needed.
Please park in the top carpark belonging to the pub. Option to go in for drinks after walk.
Allow time for driving through the New forest.
Location Notes:
Please park in the top carpark at the High Corner inn. Allow plenty of time to cross the forest. The sign off the road to the pub is very small. Follow the road down hill until you see the pub.
