Walk Overview
Join us for this countryside walk, beginning at South Wingfield Station and taking in the River Amber, the tranquil Shaw Wood, and the historic Wingfield Manor. This gentle loop provides a perfect mix of riverside paths, woodland trails, and stunning heritage views, making it an ideal walk for both nature lovers and history enthusiasts.
Upon our return, enjoy refreshments at the station café, followed by an optional guided talk on the operational history and architecture of South Wingfield Station. Led by one of their passionate volunteers, this fascinating insight into the station’s past helps support its preservation.
£5 donation per person – for the talk after lunch, with all proceeds going towards the running of the station.
