Walk Description:

This walk starts from Turkey Street Station (Weaver LIne) and follows the Heritage Trail around the Forty Hall Estate.  Forty Hall is a Jacobean mansion set in beautiful parkland and for part of the walk we follow the Turkey Brook. We can also explore the very attractive walled garden and make use of the court yard cafe.

This is an easy walk of just over 5 miles on a mixture of firm and country paths.

Our longer Explorer WALX are open to all, exploring beautiful areas in and around London. Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.

If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.

Time: Meet at the entrance of Turkey Street Station ready to start at 10.30 am

Return from Turkey Street London Overground; regular trains running into Liverpool Street and also stop at Tottenham Hale to link with the Victoria LIne.

Travel by car is possible with free parking at Forty Hall.  It will shorten the walk as you will not need to walk from and return to Turkey Street Station.  We will arrange to meet you in the car park.

There is a good cafe at Forty Hall  near to the end of the walk where you can get a range of hot and cold food and cakes.
