Walk Description:
Join Nick for a sociable 4 mile walk around Middlebere Heath.
Walking out towards along the Poole Harbour Trail path onto Middlebere Heath and along to Hartland Moor. This is a very active area for lots of different types of wildlife so hopefully we will get a glimpse of some evening visitors so keep you ears and eyes open!
We then walk along through Slepe heath where there are beehives in the woods, interesting Beetles and also ground growing lichens.
Nick has a wealth of knowledge on the local flora and fauna to share on his walks so not to be missed.
Please bring water and your rubber paws as there is some road walking, wear suitable walking boots/shoes as it may be wet.
Location Notes:
From the Norden Roundabout take the road towards Arne over the railway bridge. Single track road and you'll pass Scotland Farm on your right and Middlebere Farm parking area is about a mile further along on the right hand side.
