Walk Description:

Starting out near the village green in Hampsthwaite, the walk passes through the old St Thomas a’ Becket churchyard and shortly joins the footpath across fields up to Clapham Green. Descending into Birstwith, the route passes through the village then climbs gently through fields up and across fields towards Clint. The route passes the ruins (not much left!) of the medieval Clint Hall. The walk then descends across fields near Wilk’s Wood, crosses the dismantled Harrogate-Pately Bridge railway line, and back into Hampsthwaite (and maybe refreshments!).

Location Notes:

Park near the cricket club (entrance down the left side of the primary school), or near the village green. Meet by the car park near the cricket club.
