Todays walk: Aldbourne Circular Route

The walk starts from Aldbourne village out on B4192 towards Swindon (1/2 mile of road walking on pavement and verge) to reach New barn where we take the bridleway up towards Upham village and then onto the Ridgeway. We return via Shipley Bottom, Sugar Hill and the four Barrows.

Leader: This walk is run by Ashley Sandy

Length and Grade: 8 miles some moderate climbs.

Notes: No coffee stops or toilets on walk but you can have a coffee after at the Post Office cafe. Please park responsibly either in the square or around the surrounding streets and meet by the pond.

Bring water and a snack as this is a longer walk and wrap up warm as maybe cold. Route is likely to be muddy so wear suitable shoes.

Location Notes:

Park in the square or in surrounding streets and meet in the square. Car share if possible as parking is limited with more people working from home. Public toilet available and also at the pub and post office.
