Walk Description:
This is the longer version of this very attractive circular, mixed-terrain walk around the Acton Scott estate. Some hillwork and stiles, but nothing too challenging. Great views all round, and plenty of flora and fauna to enjoy too. It can be a bit rough or boggy underfoot in places, and vegetation can get overgrown too.
Nordic Walx are simply sociable Nordic walks in a mixed ability group, enjoying beautiful locations in and around South Shropshire and beyond. Most routes are circular and will try to make the most of the beautiful countryside around us.
This is a gears 1 and 2 walk with up and downhill work.
Dress to suit the weather, including sunscreen, if necessary, and bring water.
Photos may be taken during the walk for use on the WALX in the Marches website, on social media, and occasionally, shared more widely with WALX/Nordic Walking UK. If you are not happy for your image to be used in any of these ways, please let me know.
Location Notes:
Meeting point at Church car park, opposite the Church on Henley Lane, Acton Scott. No toilets or cafe in the winter. In the summer, cafe and toilets may be available, subject to opening days and times at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm Museum. Please park considerately.
