Walk Description:
This peaceful walk starts from the picturesque village of Longstock and leads you gently up and over rolling downland. Returning through Longstock Park and the Leckford Estate, there's an optional stop off at Longstock Park Farm Cafe at the end of the walk.
Longstock is situated on the western bank of the River Test about a mile north of Stockbridge.
Longstock Park is part of the Waitrose Farm Leckford Estate and the produce grown on the 4,000 acre estate is supplied to Waitrose stores accross the country.
The Longstock Park Farm cafe is tucked away in a quiet rural location providing the perfect place to stop off for refreshments. The cafe overlooks the plant nursery and provides stunning views with indoor and outdoor seating available. https://leckfordestate.co.uk/farm-shop-and-cafe
The route follows mainly wide paths and ancient by ways. It can be muddy in places after heavy rain.
Location Notes:
Park along Church Road (or on some maps it's called Church Lane), by St Mary's Church in the village of Longstock, near Stockbridge. The Peat Spade pub is nearby as another point of reference.
