Walk Description:

A weekend Explorer WALX of approximately 3 miles which will take us to the blossoming bluebells the Serpentine Wood.  Both walks in Calke will take a different route to the woods to give variety if you wish to do both.

The purple wash of bluebells that makes Calke so special in April and May – and most are to be found in Serpentine Wood. Around half the world’s bluebells flower in Britain, and as the sight and sweet scent of thousands of nodding heads assaults your senses, you may be forgiven for thinking that most are located here at Calke.

Today's walk is included in your DD.

Please note: Allow 90 minutes.

Non-WALX members are welcome.

Join Ralph in the cafe afterwards.

You must be a member of the National Trust for these walks. Bring your membership cards with you to enter the park.
