Walk Description:

Starting from the centre of Witchampton this walk takes in woodland, fields, far reaching views towards

a stately home and a peaceful river.

Witchampton is near the river Allen which we will walk beside before heading into the countrside on

grassy paths to join a road going past the Moor Crichel estate with the lake in the distance.

This is a stunning area with some beautiful houses and copper beech trees.

This walk is 5 miles and does include some country lane walking for which paws on poles are

suggested.

A relaxing walk taking in the best of the English countryside.

(The Witchampton club in the village is very welcoming and when the walk is arranged at the weekend

we can go in in for drinks afterwards. They also serve coffee. Meals have to be pre arranged but they

have the usual crisps etc.

They have outside seating.)

The shop which is run by volunteers, opens for the morning then again later in the afternoon.

The toilets are open at the same time as the shop and also when the club is open.

(If anyone is here on the first Sat of the month a coffee morning is held in the room next to the

shop along with delicious home made cakes.)

Please park near to the bottom of the carpark.

For this walk the toilets will be open until 11am for the start of the walk but there will not be facilities

when we return. Feel welcome to go in for any food purchases or drinks needed for the walk.

Location Notes:

Please park at the village shop and Witchampton club. The bar opens at 12 md on a Sunday. The shop is open until 11am daily for snacks/coffee. The bar has some outside seating .Large carpark. Toilets inside building.
