Walk Description:

An interesting and varied 6.5 mile walk from the Village of East Stratton.

Heading through Thorny Down woods we can expect to see deer and other wildlife as we pass through this quiet area before being treated to impressive views over Totford.  On our way back pass along the edge of Stratton Park where the isolated portcullis of Stratton Manor, the Bank of England during World War 2, still stands.   At the end of the walk there's an opportunity for refreshments in the recently renovated Northbrook Arms.

Location Notes:

Address: The Northbrook Arms, Stratton Lane, East Stratton, SO21 3DU Please park in the pub car park at the rear of the Northbrook Arms.
