Walk Description:

Lyme Park Nordic Walks

Come and join us on a social walk on a circular route of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park

Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate.

The estate covers approx 1400 acres, so offers lots of different walks with varying terrain and stunning views, we may see some of their famous deer herds and highland cattle too.

Tips to help you get the most out of your walk

1 Suitable clothing and footwear, layers are best

(Denim and heavy cotton tend to absorb and hold water so are not ideal)

2 A small rucksack - to put layers/waterproofs in

(Ideally with chest straps)

3 Light refreshments (water, fruit juice etc)

4 Your mobile phone in case of last minute changes

5 Walk leaders mobile number 07718314966

6 Please contact me if you need to hire poles - £1 payable on the day

Dogs - If you bring a dog it must be on a lead and under control at all times, I use a harness with mine and happy to offer advice on fit and purchasing options. You must be able to help your dog over stiles etc where needed.

Finally I will always have a First Aid Kit in a small green drysac in my rucksack, but you may choose to bring your own Bite and Sting Cream, Suncream etc.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a walk / class, please be aware that we do operate a No refund policy if you give us less than 24 hours` notice. To see the full policy click HERE
