Walk Description:
A beautiful 3 mile walk at a gentle pace. Ideal for beginners. Mostly flat with a few shallow but longer hills
This is an unofficial walk. You will be walking at your own risk and will not be covered by our insurance. We will let attendees know the day before who is booked on so you can meet up and walk.
Important Information
Distance: approx 3 miles
Terrain: bridlepaths, quiet streets, some uneven ground. Some sections might be muddy after rain
Stiles: none
Toilets: nearest ones are at Tesco Stalybridge, approx 5min drive away
Car parking: free
Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream & bugspray! NO JEANS, WALKING BOOTS OR OVER-THE-SHOULDER BAGS PLEASE!
We will set off promptly. Please try to arrive 10mins early so you are ready to go. Please do not be offended if we do not wait whilst you get yourself sorted. We do a warm up close by so please do catch up.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations more than 24hrs before a walk can be made on the Exercise Anywhere booking system. Cancellations made less than 24hrs before a walk will not be refunded and cannot be made on the system - please contact Jane by or text to cancel.
Location Notes:
Free parking. No toilets. We'll meet in the car park next to All Tyre Specialist at the bottom end of Huddersfield Road (B6175) just east of Stalybridge town centre, 200 metres from the junction with Mottram Road (A6018). Buses between Stalybridge town centre and Millbrook and Carrbrook go up Huddersfield Road.
