Walk Description:
This is a great walk for everyone, whether you want to test yourself on the hills or take them slowly in your own time , we can all enjoy the wonderful views and varied landscapes from farmland to woods.
Shortly after leaving the pub we turn off the road up a short hill to a field which we cross. This can be a bit slippery due to the slope when muddy. At the end of the field we reach a trout farm and cross to the lane . Crossing the lane we head through a hedge via a gate onto the hill that takes us out of the valley.
It is not very long but quite steep, rewarded by fantastic views and for me even a Llama ???? at the top ! From there we head to the wood and it is beautiful , with good paths . returning to the pub via more farmland.
Location Notes:
Free parking at The Crown pub car park. If the car park is full, there is plenty of free on street parking on North Street. This is the main street through the village. Please be mindful of local residents and spread out along this road if parking here. Meet outside The Crown.
