Walk Description:

Learn to Nordic Walk, session 2, 3 or 4. Other session dates -  Tuesdays 30th May (wk2), 6th June (wk3) and 13th June (wk4) at 9.30am to 10.30am. Please ensure you book onto all sessions. You will receive your Freedom Pass on completion of week 4. 

We meet at the Godfrey/Kendal Road Entrance where there is plenty of free parking on Kendal Road adjacent to the park (Sat Nav M6 7QP). Buses stop frequently on Bolton Road at the bottom of King Street.

Session 2 – Mastering hand grip and poles straps to develop technique, introduction for walking up and down hills

Session 3 – Adding more speed, through improved technique and learning to keep in your own comfort zone.

Session 4 - Improving posture and understanding technique, distance, speed & terrain.

There are no public toilets in or near to the park so please bear this in mind and plan accordingly.

Lessons will start and finish promptly so give yourself plenty of time. 

Please remember to bring

1 - bottle of water

2 - any medications you may need

3 - a small rucksack as you'll need both hands free at all times.

4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications. 

If you are unable to attend one of the other 3 sessions then you may be able to switch to another date/location for that lesson subject to places and walking poles being available.
