Walk Description:

This is a quite a strenuous session that will help provide a transition to the most strenuous of our walks.

These walks take place in 3 Locations

1)Dogotel

2) Harpley Dams

3) Bunkers hill

The walks from the Dogotel and Harpley Dams take in part of the well known Peddars way and contain long gentle inclines which offer fantastic training opportunities as well as some great scenery including some ancient Tumuli (from Harpley Dams).

Locations are below:

The address for the Dogotel is - Peddars Lodge Hillington, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, PE31 6DS. Continue past the Dogotel to a large concreted carpark.

Directions:- on the opposite side of the road (A148) from the Dogotel there is a road to Harpley Dams. You will soon see a row of cottages and there is a grass area you can park on (without blocking any gateways). This is where you can get on to the Peddars Way.

For Bunkers Hill follow the directions to Houghton Hall from the A148. At the white gates of Houghton Hall, turn left towards Bircham for 0.7miles and keep on the road as it bends to the right and after 0.6miles you will see a white ‘keepers cottage’ on your right hand side, turn opposite i.e. left into Bunkers Hill. The car park is almost immediately in the trees (not very visible) on the right hand side, or you can park on the grass verges inside the gateway

Location Notes:

This is the Harpley Group and use 3 locations for this series of walks. 2 of the walks use part of the peddars way and the 3rd runs alongside Houghton Halls grounds. Deer are often spotted on this walk.
