From Nordic walks in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Nordic Adventure walks are simply lovely walks with poles! No tuition or drills just plenty of chat as you work the whole body.
Just a few examples of what might be included in your Nordic Adventure walks – our fully trained Instructors will constantly add inspirational routes that capture the best of what’s local to you but also include sociality and a lot of fun. Often with themes and refreshments too. These are just a few ideas...
Whether the bluebells are in full bloom or its Midsummers eve and a chance to watch the sun set on the longest day – our themed seasonal Nordic walks are set to inspire. Your local group will seek to make the most of every season whatever the weather.
There’s nothing like a cool pint or warming cuppa at the end of a good Nordic walk and we love to enjoy the opportunity whenever we can! You can rest assured that if there is a chance for refreshments before, during and after Nordic walks then we will build them into the activity as an ideal way to relax with others.
With over 2,000 Nordic walks a week on offer, we appreciate that whilst you might want to walk regularly with your local group, it is also great to get to know others. Most groups organise joint walks with neighbouring groups and even trips further afield. Three groups do a Christmas market get together every year for instance
We also love to build some interest into our Nordic walks so look out for interesting walks that take in the local geology, history or legends. Our themed Nordic walks have included anything from Alpacas and Foraging to Artistic trails and walks that follow literary greats like Wordsworth and Thomas Hardy.
We are lucky to have groups in stunning areas like the Lakes, Dorset, Devon and the Peak District. Many offer short breaks and some even groups also organise Nordic Walking holidays such as the Amalfi trail, Cross country skiing and more. They welcome Nordic walkers from all over the UK
We have been running a Nordic Walking Festival in Purbeck, Dorset for 6 years and smaller events in the Peak District too. The Festivals include workshops, tuition, plenty of themed walks and social events too. We are now expanding our mini festivals into the Lake District and other areas...watch this space.
