Walk Description:

One of our most popular walks! We leave the hilltop village of Kingston and walk through stunning private farmland along a gully towards the famous chapmans pool. Here we pause briefly to admire the views before we take a gradual but long climb ( at your own pace) towards the Houns Tout - one of the high points on the coast path. 

Here views open up on all sides with the coastguard cottages at St Aldhems to the left and as far as Portland to the right. We will stop here for a drink before we take the lovely flat path back past an exclusive private estate and through woodlands to the car park.

Option to pop for the Pub with a view ( the Scott Arms) for a drink or lunch afterwards too.

Animals likely to be grazing but with luck we will see the first spring lambs! As with all walks in the area at the moment, there may be some mud and a few slippy areas but otherwise, the terrain and paths are good.

The first section is on a tarmac track so if using poles, you might wnat to pop your paws on!
